As many of you would know, 2014 has been a time of tremendous change and growth for our firm and we felt that some of our clients would be interested in what’s been happening during the year that’s drawing to a close.
Team Changes
We were engaged on a large number of very complex assignments this year and wouldn’t have it any other way. Of course, this huge growth in workload also necessitated our team expanding somewhat. We’ve welcomed a number of new consultants into the team and when you review some of their bios you might be surprised by the depth and breadth of our team’s expertise: www.henricksconsulting.com/news/2014/the-hc-team/ In addition, we’ve also welcomed Rebecca McKinnon to the team as our new Helping Hands logistics coordinator who has made an immediate impact on our team.
Major Change and M&A activity
In many senses, 2014 was the year of Mergers and Acquisitions for our team. Hardly a month went by that we didn’t get engaged to conduct Due Diligence for a new proposed merger, acquisition or divestment. When we weren’t conducting due diligence exercises or supporting major integration projects, we were being engaged to update HR policies, review organisational structures or drive cultural change in complex environments.
The year that BIG DATA came to town
In 2014 you could barely open a newspaper and not be confronted by the term “Big Data“. Big Data is becoming an increasingly important tool for commercial organisations to engage better with their customers. It’s also a critical tool for police and defence forces in their counter-terrorism activities. However, clearly Big Data techniques can also be utilised to improve the way that companies engage with their employees.
We’ve been running surveys and conducting statistical analyses for our clients for almost a decade now. As such, increasingly we have also been seen as the consultancy of choice for those companies considering leveraging the benefits of Big Data within their own firms. Applying Big Data techniques with our clients has yielded incredibly valuable insights that in some instances have helped employers predict who is likely to resign before it even happens. We’re looking forward to an even BIGGER year for Big Data in 2015!
The Philanthropic reason we are in business
In 2014, not only have we continued to observe continued growth in demand for our services, but we’ve achieved some major successes via our philanthropic team-building program, the Helping Hands Program. The majority of our turn-over as a company is re-invested into this unique philanthropic program. So even if you didn’t know it, as a Henricks Consulting client you have actually helped us to make a massive difference in the lives of people in need right around the world. To be specific, we’ve now built 3,573 hands for people in need and have partnered with over 200 separate companies around Australia and New Zealand to help make this happen.
Workplace Pulse: The launch of a World First cloud-based system
It was a big year for our self-service survey platform Workplace Pulse. The platform now offers 6 outstanding survey and assessment services including: Engagement surveys, Change readiness surveys, Employee opinion surveys, 360 degree assessments, Entry interviews and Exit interviews. We’ve had 68 new companies sign up to this ground-breaking new service and with each new survey or 360 degree assessment that is run on that platform, our benchmark data is getting increasingly robust. Expect to hear a lot more about this outstanding platform in 2015!
A big thank you to our customers
It’s been a BIG year and we’re looking forward to 2015 starting in the same way. Thank you so much for your continued support. When we started our business we knew that we wanted to be different as well as making a difference for the clients that valued our approach. Eight years on, we’re still making a difference for each of our clients, but we’re also starting to send a few ripples around the globe. Without our customer’s continued support we wouldn’t be able to make the kind of difference in the global community that we’ve been able to do via the Helping Hands Program and for that we are indebted to each and every HC customer.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and best wishes for a transformative and purpose-drive 2015!
